Our Service Standards & Costs

Sciaccas Lawyers and Consultants provides dedicated service to all clients and as a medium-sized Brisbane firm, we are able to offer continuous access to, and responsiveness from, senior practitioners.

As a matter of standard practice, we provide regular status reports to clients. We also offer to meet with clients and in-house legal teams regularly on an informal basis to discuss the progress of matters, standard of service and general business.

The size and flexible structure of our firm enables Sciaccas Lawyers and Consultants to develop strong and lasting relationships with its clients and to work in partnership with them to solve issues and progress matters promptly and in the most cost-effective manner.

Our Value-Added Services

Sciaccas Lawyers and Consultants is able to provide a number of additional services at no extra cost which include but are not limited to:

• No charge for simple telephone advice.
• After hours availability of any partner and professional staff member.
• Invitation to all or any of Sciaccas Lawyers and Consultants in-house seminars for in-house legal officers enabling them to earn CPD points.
• Special seminars and training sessions conducted free of charge for corporate clients.
• No charge for secondment of staff to corporate clients other than an hourly rate on matters being conducted.

Our Firm's Growth

Our firm has experienced growth of some 40% in the past 5 years. This successful outcome is a result of a deliberate strategy to expand the firm's services by building on our strong record of performance in the areas of WorkCover services, insurance, commercial & property and workplace relations.

Our firm has aggressively recruited new staff to handle an increase in the number and complexity of matters referred to us by long standing clients such as Unions and new clients, drawn to Sciaccas by our reputation for no-nonsense, pragmatic, timely and accurate advice.

Our Community Involvement

In keeping with our firm's values, staff at Sciaccas Lawyers and Consultants are heavily involved in community activities. Mr Sciacca, now outside the Federal Parliament continues to be involved with many community and veterans' organizations. The firm also acts as honorary solicitors for many sporting, community and charitable associations.

This reputation has allowed us the privilege of representing our clients on some of the country's most interesting and challenging issues at all levels of the justice system, including a number of High Court challenges, such as the recent challenge to the Workchoices legislation, where Sciaccas Lawyers and Consultants was the only private law firm representing a high profile industrial client in the High Court of Australia.

This heritage, forged through the leadership of our Founding and Managing Partner, the Honourable Con Sciacca AO, provides a sense of mission for all staff, ensuring that all matters undertaken are conducted in such a way as to consider their impact on the firm's legacy and reputation, past, present and future.
